The international expert organization DEKRA and Argus Cyber Security, a global leader in automotive cyber security, have entered into a partnership to offer a range of automotive cyber security services for the automotive and new mobility industry.

DEKRA enters a partnership with Argus Cyber Security to bring independent and holistic automotive cyber security expertise to the market. DEKRA’s third party independency and global presence combined with the deep automotive cyber security expertise of Argus forms a powerful alliance. The goal is to support OEMs in the fight against cyber-attacks which are becoming a bigger and bigger threat to safety and security in the automotive industry.

In recent years, DEKRA has continuously expanded its cybersecurity services in the consulting, training and product testing competence fields, with DEKRA Digital GmbH acting as a Group-wide hub and driving new, comprehensive security solutions forward together with partners and customers. Partnering with Argus in the field of cybersecurity, DEKRA can offer particular expertise regarding regulatory issues, system certification, product certification and functional safety.

“At DEKRA we are determined to ensure the safety of the future, and we are delighted to work with Argus to provide solutions for some of the most challenging security issues. With road safety and cybersecurity as two of the core elements in DEKRA’s vision of being the global partner for a safe world, Argus is an obvious ally for DEKRA”, said Dr. Kerim Galal, Managing Director of DEKRA Digital GmbH.

“Argus was founded with a vision to protect all vehicles on the road from cyber threats. To this end, Argus cyber security experts have uncovered hundreds of security gaps and multiple zero-day vulnerabilities across dozens of customer ECUs and EE architectures.” said Yoram Berholtz, Senior Director Business Development, Argus Cyber Security. “Working together with DEKRA, we will help ensure that the automotive industry can fulfill the demand for connectivity without compromising on cyber security and safety.”
